Former Division 6 Superintendent Judy Logan
May 28, 1946 - April 14, 2022

Fed REA

I just learned that long-time life member Judy Logan has passed away. I spoke with Darrell a little bit ago and he allowed there will be a “Celebration of Life” for Judy in about a month. As soon as Derrell works out the details, he will let us know.
As most of you know, its been a rough stretch for some years now as the effects of Alzheimer’s tightened its grip on her. Then a stroke about three weeks ago made things worse. Judy served the division in many ways serving as an elected officer and on just about every convention committee the division has hosted including the 1992 NMRA National. She, along with Darrell, was very active in the Marine Corps League. To say she will be missed is a gross understatement. I was happy to see her at last weekend’s Division 6 meeting. Darrell said she enjoyed seeing everyone then afterward, they went to Frisch’s for a Big Boy, fries, and chocolate shakes.
While this news was somewhat expected, we all know she’s in a better place. Please keep Darrell in your thoughts and prayers.

The Wake for Judy Logan will take place on Sunday, May 15th at 1 pm.  It will be held at the Logan residence, 6322 Mid Pines Ct, in Grove City.  Friends are invited to stop by and share some of the many great memories you have of her.  We all know how Judy loved a good gathering of folks, so I'm sure she will be smiling down on all of us.
Let either Super, Matt Goodman or myself know if you have any questions.

Darrell, our thoughts and prayers are with you.  I almost never saw you without Judy.  I plan to attend your service for her when that is arranged.  And sorry I had to send you to voicemail this morning--I was otherwise occupied.

This is very sad news. My condolences to Darrell and the family.
Since I just started attending meetings a little over a year ago, I did not know Judy prior to the onset of her illness and I wish that I had. I am so glad to see women involved in the hobby.
Again, my thoughts are with you Darrell.

Super sad news.  Brings back many memories of the great people that have blessed this division, been friendly to us all, offered modeling help when asked, didn't criticize but encouraged our modeling, and kept politics out of the hobby.  Remembering today people like Doc Sage's great layout and always bumping into him and John K. at National Narrow Gauge Conventions, Ted W.'s massive steel mill complex up north, Joe S.'s layout and talents in Marion, Geri's layout with the huge number of Campbell kits she built.  And the hours after hours after hours that Judy has given the division.  Just to name some.

Many condolences to you Darrell, and the family and friends who cared for or were influenced by Judy. She was one of the bedrocks in the Division in the ten years I’ve been a member.
